MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 23, 2008 <br />serve the south LaBore properties, as well as eliminate the City's cost of <br />maintaining these lift stations. Little Canada will have to obtain <br />easements for this sewer line. The Administrator pointed out that the cost <br />of the sewer improvement will be assessed, however, if property owners <br />are not ready to develop at this time, they can choose to defer their <br />assessments. The Administrator also noted that Richie Place development <br />agreement requires a contribution toward the sanitary sewer line equal to <br />what their lift station costs would have been. The Administrator reported <br />that there will be additional costs in the future to extend the sewer line to <br />serve other properties in this area as they develop. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO.2008-4-113 -AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF <br />MAPLEWOOD TO AWARD THE BASE BID AND ALTERNATIVE #2 <br />TO C.W. HOULE FOR SANITARY SEWER/WATERMAIN PROJECT <br />AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LABORS The City Administrator reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's <br />AVENUE report dated April 21, 2008 recommending installation of a street light <br />STREETLIGHT at the end of LaBore Avenue at a cost of $2,780.00. The cost of this <br />installation would be paid for from the General Capital Improvement <br />Fund. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-4-114 -APPROVING THE INSTALLATION <br />OF STREET LIGHT AT THE END OF LABORS AVENUEAT A <br />COST OF $2,780.00 TO BE PAID FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
