MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MARCH 26, 2008 FROM LITTLE CANADA AT KELLER PARKWAYAND ARCADE STREET TO MAPLEWOOD SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL BY THE LITTLE CANADA CITYATTORNEYANDSUBDECT TO APPROVAL OF THIS AGREEMENT BY THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (3). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2008-3-89 -APPROVING THE SANITARY SEWER USE/CONNECTIONAGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF LITTLE CANADA AND MAPLEWOOD ADDRESSING LITTLE CANADA'S CONNECTION OFA PORTION OF ITS PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM TO MAPLEWOOD'S SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRNSPORTING SANITARY SEWAGE FROM LITTLE CANADA INTO MAPLEWOOD'S SEWER DISTRICT 13, SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL BY THE LITTLE CANADA CITYATTORNEYAND SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THIS AGREEMENT BY THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THISAGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. SALVAGE The City Administrator reported that since the last workshop on the I-1 VEHICLE Zoning District amendments, staff has been discussing the issue of auto REPAIR repair licensing as well as the type of auto repair business that results in the most code enforcement issues. It is staffls position that the major auto repair business that purchases salvage vehicles and clips of vehicles and then repairs these vehicles for resale is the most problematic. There have been limited code enforcement issues with the auto repair business that takes in customer vehicles, makes repairs, and then returns the vehicle to its owner. The City Administrator reported that staff is recommending that a third classification of license be established, that is "Salvage Vehicle Repair". 18
