LINO LAKES PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br /> - Fusion/Intelligence centers across the United States <br /> - Federal Agencies: <br />• Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) <br />• Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) <br />• Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) <br />• United States Marshals <br />• Internal Revenue Service (IRS) <br />• United States Postal Inspection Service <br />• Food and Drug Administration (FDA) <br /> <br />DEA Minneapolis/St. Paul District Office Regional Impact of Drugs <br /> <br />The DEA Task Force Officer position allows the Lino Lakes Police Division to contribute to <br />investigations involving large drug trafficking organizations which supply Minnesota <br />communities, including Lino Lakes, with drugs. <br /> <br />In fiscal year 2015, Group 71 seized 22 kilograms of methamphetamine, 56 grams of <br />cocaine, 3 kilograms of heroin and 68 kilograms of synthetics. <br /> <br />Group 71 currently has more than 80 open investigations. During the 2016 fiscal year, <br />investigations conducted by Group 71 resulted in the seizure of approximately 5 <br />kilograms of cocaine, 418 grams of heroin, 105 kilograms of methamphetamine, 104 <br />kilograms of marijuana, and 246 kilograms of synthetic drugs. These investigations also <br />resulted in 27 arrests. <br /> <br />Training Received <br /> <br />• TFO receives quarterly firearms training <br />• Attended a two week basic narcotics and diversion of pharmaceuticals training <br />• Attended a three day narcotics conference funded by the DEA <br /> <br /> Below is a brief summary of investigations Lino Lakes TFO has participated in: <br /> <br />• Lino Lakes TFO is the case agent for DEA involving the first federal indictment in <br />Minnesota for the distribution of heroin resulting in death. This heroin <br />distributer was supplying users in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities with <br />this dangerous drug. Search warrants conducted of this individual resulted in <br />seizing over $390,000.00. Lino Lakes TFO has been responsible for organizing
