An update
on these matters is as follows:
Drainage
A hydrologic study funded jointly by the cities of Hugo and Lino Lakes for the Clearwater Creek
watershed has been completed by Hugo's consulting engineer. The preliminary findings of this study
were discussed in detail at a joint Council meeting held between the two cities on February 1, 1995. A
great many details regarding the implementation and financing of any improvements to be made in the
watershed have to be worked out by the two communities. However, the preliminary findings as
discussed indicated no unusual drainage concerns regarding the subdivision. The developer will have to
comply with all Rice Creek Watershed District requirements and the City's Surface Water Management
Plan.
Wetlands
A copy of a letter from the Rice Creek Watershed District to the developer's engineer has been received
confirming their agreement with the wetland descriptions and determinations.
Traffic
A study of the sketch plan of the proposed subdivision was prepared by SEH in August of 1994. This
study indicated that the five phase development proposal of which this preliminary plat is a part, would
not create significant traffic volumes. An expanded study was then prepared in January of 1995 which
looked in more detail at the areas surrounding the proposed development including the City of Hugo.
The following items should be noted:
