207.10 Performance Evaluations <br />Added more detail than the old policy. "Satisfactory Performance" <br />is required for advancement to the next step in the compensation <br />program. <br />207.11 Promotions <br />Gives us the ability and structure for promoting employees from within <br />the municipal service. <br />(new) <br />207.12 Relationship to other City Personnel <br />Establishes a policy which regulates members of the same family working <br />for the City, taking into account the Minnesota Human Rights Act. <br />(new) <br />207.13 Political Activity <br />Clarifies the what employees can and can not do with regards to <br />political activity. <br />207.14 Legal Holidays <br />Codifies current policy: <br />Exchanges Columbus Day with the day after Thanksgiving <br />Add Martin Luther King Jr. <br />207.15 <br />207.16 <br />Vacation Leave <br />The City is now on an accrual method for vacation. The amount accrued <br />depends on your years of service but still corresponds to three weeks alter <br />5 years. Two new aspects of the vacation subdivision is the adding of 1 <br />day per year beginning at year 11 and going through year 20. This is <br />already in effect in the three labor contracts with have our other employees. <br />Secondly, we would propose offering vacation benefits to regular part-time <br />employees on a pro -rata basis (must work a minimum of 20 hours per <br />week). <br />Sick Leave <br />Change to an accrual method - 3.69 hours per pay period vs 8 hours <br />per month. <br />Add regular part-time employees. <br />Accumulated, unused sick leave would be tied to deferred compensation <br />and severance. <br />These changes are already incorporated into the LLMA, 49ers and <br />Teamsters contracts. <br />27 <br />
