207.17 Workers' Compensation <br />Outlines our policy per Minnesota State Statute. <br />(new) <br />207.18 Sick Child / School Child <br />Employees may use their sick leave for a child in the same manner as they <br />would for their own illness. <br />Employees are granted up to 16 hours unpaid leave per year for school <br />activities. Per State Statute. <br />(new) <br />207.19 Funeral Leave <br />Still at the 3 day limit. Now treat all family members the same vs. <br />immediate family vs. other relatives (in-laws and grandparents) <br />207.20 Military Duty <br />More clarification regarding pay and benefits while on military leave. <br />Still subject to state and federal law_ <br />207.21 Time off to Vote <br />The City must allow employees time otithe morning of an election <br />to vote. State law. <br />(new) <br />207.22 Jury Duty <br />Same as old Policy <br />207.23 Family Medical Leave Act <br />This has been added per Federal legislation_ FMLA is 12 weeks of job <br />protected, unpaid leave available to eligible employees for a family or <br />medical situation. City requires that paid leave be used simultaneously. <br />(new) <br />207.24 Parental Leave <br />Similar to FMLA, although employees are not required to use sick leave. <br />Per Minnesota Statute. <br />(new) <br />207.25 Personal Leave of Absence <br />This was part of the old policy and deals with long term absences without <br />pay (2 weeks to 1 year). Changes include a 2 week minimum leave. <br />207.26 Leave of Apse_ nce _w t i ut Pay <br />This section deals with short term (hours instead of weeks) time away from <br />the office. <br />28 <br />
