Semi Annual Report 2 January -June 1995 <br />• <br />• <br />DARE <br />Investigator Keller attended the Reid School of <br />Interrogation. <br />CSO Kenow attended the Minnesota Crime Free Multi - <br />Housing Program in Rochester. <br />Officers Kent Strege, Brandon Young and Jeanie Kenow <br />have attended the second phase of Community Orientated <br />Policing. The series will continue in May. Issues <br />included how to deal with people who have mental health <br />problems, physical disabilities and racism. <br />Officers Kent Strege, Bruce Keller, Sgt. Bill Hammes <br />and Sgt. Mortenson attended and completed the St. Paul <br />Survival School training. <br />Officers Dave Zerwas, Steve Wagner, Sal Costa, Kent <br />Strege, Bruce Keller and Sgt. Steve Mortenson attended <br />the Tactical Communications Training at the Bunker <br />Hills Training Center. <br />All officers attended: Anoka County qualifying shoot <br />at the Anoka County Range and a three (3) hour <br />Defensive Tactics training course offered at <br />Centenntial Fire District Station #2. <br />Officer Hammes began teaching the DARE program at Rice <br />Lake Elementary and Lino Lakes Elementary. <br />Officer Hammes attended the D.A.R.E. Officer's meeting <br />in Duluth. <br />A total of $17,900.00 has been raised to support the <br />D.A.R.E. Program in Lino Lakes. <br />A Parents Night was held at the Rice Lake Elementary <br />and Lino Lakes Elementary Schools for D.A.R.E. The <br />Prison sent their Canine Unit and conducted a <br />demonstration for the parents in attendance. The <br />officers attending also gave an overview of our <br />commitment to the Community Policing philosophy. <br />
