Semi Annual Report 7 January -June 1995 <br />Began initiating preparations for the Police Citizen Academy with <br />Centennial Fire District Chief Milo Bennett. <br />The police department held an auction on Earth day. The auction <br />grossed approximately $1,000 dollars. Everything brought to the <br />auction was sold. Sergeant Mortenson, CSO Kenow, Office Manager Renee <br />Kaulfuss and two reserve officers assisted in this task. <br />The American Heart Association's Heartride took place on April 29. <br />There were 80 bikers that took part in this event. Patrol Officers <br />and Reserve Officers provided traffic control for this event. Thee <br />were no problems. <br />The VFW's 7th District Loyalty Day Parade took place. There were 91 <br />units in the parade. The police department provided traffic control <br />and security for this parade. The parade lasted for approximately 55 <br />minutes. <br />Initiated the Crime Free Multi Housing project. <br />Officer Costa made final arrangements for the Lino Lakes sponsored <br />Anoka County shoot to be held the first week of May. <br />Patrol Officers began working their new shifts. <br />A. Mortenson <br />Several Patrol Officers, CSO Kenow and several <br />the Rice Lake Elementary School Carnival. The <br />traffic control/direction, operating a D.A.R.E <br />school for the carnival, and public relations. <br />citizens attended the carnival. <br />These shifts <br />6:30 am to <br />10:30 am to <br />2:30 pm to <br />10:30 pm to <br />are: <br />3:00 pm <br />7:00 pm <br />11:00 pm <br />7:00 am <br />10:30 am to 7:00 pm <br />6:30 pm to 3:00 am <br />Reserve Officers worked <br />activities included: <br />. booth inside the <br />Several hundred <br />CSO Kenow performed a Bicycle Rodeo for approximately 24 children that <br />lived in the Birchwood Acres development. <br />CSO Kenow signed up one additional McGruff House volunteer. <br />CSO Kenow scheduled the annual School Patrol Appreciation Day at Camp <br />Snoopy at the Mall of America. In addition, she worked with the Rice <br />Lake Elementary School Patrol on dealing with kids that are fighting <br />as well as the implementation of a school patrol card. <br />CSO Kenow worked with the Otter Lake Animal Care Center in charging a <br />transportation fee as well as their staff picking up dogs during the <br />day time hours. <br />
