Semi Annual Report 9 January -June 1995 <br />CSO Kenow met with the Rice Lake Elementary School children and went <br />over a few more safety tips as the weather is getting warmer and they <br />are experiencing additional walkers/bikers. It was at this time that <br />they received an Award of Merit certificate. <br />Lino Lakes Elementary School held its school carnival. Reserve <br />Officers Mike Wachholz and Deb O'Brien along with Sgt. Hammes assisted <br />with the carnival. Sgt. Hammes participated in the dunk tank <br />activities. <br />Lino Lakes PD hosted a small Safe & Sober project in conjunction with <br />the Waterworks Summer Fest. <br />On June 22 the Police Department obtained their two new squad cars. <br />CSO Kenow and Officer Cliff Ross held a special event at Lino Lakes <br />Elementary School. Children sat in the squad car, received sticker <br />badges and were explained the various equipment. <br />CSO Kenow met with Brian Wessel along with Fire Chief Bennett and <br />discussed concerns regarding the Blue Heron project and gave <br />recommendations relative to lighting and the CPTED concepts. <br />CSO Kenow signed up one additional McGruff House in the month of June. <br />She attended the Crime Free Multi Housing Task Force meeting where she <br />was nominated to start up a Mobile Home Crime Free Multi Housing Task <br />Force for the State of Minnesota with the help of Blaine PD, Olmstead <br />County Sheriffs and the MN Manufactured Housing Association. <br />CSO Kenow conducted an alarm presentation with Inv. Keller for the <br />Neighborhood Watch group that live on Woodduck Trail. She provided <br />her annual safety presentation at the Parks Department to the new <br />playground supervisors. <br />CSO Kenow produced the first Crime Watch Newsletter which is being <br />distributed to the Neighborhood Block Captains and Co -Captains. (See <br />attached copy) <br />June Community Policing Projects - See attached memo addressed to the <br />Chief from Sgt. Mortenson. <br />
