He explained that lot 6 <br />is almost all peat and would not be buildable. <br />Mr. Gourley explained the City would hold to the 150 foot front footage <br />requirements on all lots and all the dead end streets would have to be cul- <br />de - saced. <br />Mr. Newpower asked if an environmental impact statement would be required? <br />He was told no, if there were not more than 50 homes in the plat. <br />Mr. Gourley explained the park requirement and asked Mr. Newpower to get <br />his preliminary plat and topog to the Clerk for the City Engineer and City <br />Planners recommendation. <br />Plat - Pine Oaks <br />Mrs. Schwankl excused herself from the Board during consideration of this <br />plat. She felt that since the plat is within a short distance from her <br />property she should excuse herself. <br />The plat was reviewed noting that the street names probably should be <br />changed because they could cause some confusion. <br />Mr. Shearen moved to recommend approval of this plat subject to the City <br />Planners recommendations. Mr. Mattson seconded the motion. Motion declared <br />passed with Mrs. Schwankl abstaining. <br />Plat - Arborlake <br />The Clerk read the City Planners and Engineers letters of recommendations. <br />Mayor Karth noted the wording on the easement on the final plat will have <br />to be changed. The Park Board had recommended that outlot A be accepted <br />as park dedication. <br />Mr. Mattson moved to recommend approval of this plat taking into consideration <br />the City Planners and Engineers recommendations. Mr. Johnson seconded the <br />motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Aragon Ballroom - Steve Krube <br />Mr. Krube explained he is a minister of the gospel and his church is the <br />House of Praise. They are now meeting at Lovell School and are considering <br />purchasing the Ballroom on Contract for Deed. <br />Mr. Krube explained if the zoning has to be changed to RI the present owner <br />will not sell it to them. The concern is if the contract were defaulted <br />the property would not be as valuable if it were RI. <br />Mayor Karth asked if there will be any reconstruction to the building itself. <br />Mr. Krube said his father had talked to Mr. Mobley who had said that nothing <br />had to be done immediately but there will have to be some improvements. <br />Mr. Krube said they would honor all the Building Inspectors requests. <br />Mr. Mattson said probably the Council will have to take action to remove <br />the property from the tax rolls. Mr. Karth said this would be done when <br />the church reaches exempt status. <br />Mr. Gourley noted that this Board feels no action is needed at this time <br />
