- Page 2 - January 21, 1976
Mr. Clinkenbeard was told to make application per Section 3 of
the Ordinance and also tp adhere to Section 5. The license fee
is $20.00 per year to be renewed annually. If additional
drivers are used. there is a $5.00 fee per driver per year.
Mr. Hill asked what the name of his company would be and Mr.
Clinkenbeard said it would be "The Clover Company" with an
appropriate emblem. The vehicle is yetlow with a black vinyl
top. The emblem will be in green.
He received his call through 'Air Signal', also has a CB radio
in his car and will be on call 24 hours a day. Although he can
not operate out of the Airport, he can deliver passengers and
pick up passengers if he is called. The rate to the airport
would be metered at 504 per mile.
Mr. Nadeau wondered if there are any legal complications with
the establishing this business within the Trailer Park. Mr.
McLean felt this should be answered by the Attorney when this
application is presented to the Council.
Mr. Clinkenbeard said he had talked to the Park owner and the
only thing he required was that this operation be licensed by
the Caty. Mr. Clinkenbeard is also planning on putting up a
couple of signs. Mr. Karth told him to check with the office
before they are installed for the possible requirement of a
permit. Mr. Clinkenbeard assured the Board that he would comply
with the requirements.
Mr. Nadeau moved that providing all requirements of the Ordinance
be met and provided prior to the Council meeting scheduled for
January 26, 1976, the Planning and Zoning Board would recommend
approval of this application. Motion was seconded by Mr. Hill.
Mr. Kelling asked if Mr. Nadeau and Mr. Hill would accept an
addition to the motion by agreeing to waive that protion of
Section 11 that requires the emblem to be placed on the rear
door. Both men accepted the addition.
Mr. Nadeau asked if there is any legal problem with operating a
taxi out of this court? He felt the Planning and Zoning Board
needed a legal opinion on this. Mr. McLean said this point
would be discussed with the Attorney at the Council meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Clinkenbeard had a question in regards to the hunters in
the Fall who come very close to the homes in that Park. Is is
legal to hunt on Baldwin Lake? The Planning and Zoning Board
was not certain of the requirements as to the distance bbt the
Lake is Open for hunting with a shotgun with birdshot only.
Mr. McLean felt that once the land around the lake is acquired
by the County in the Open Space program, hunting will be barred
from that area.
Mr. Clinkenbeard thanked the members for their time and infor-
mation. He will contact the Clerk for the necessaru forms' to
prepare.
