MAY 21, 1975 <br />-3- <br />Mr. Nelson is basing these figures for the Escrow Account on a total bid of $14,750.00 <br />that he received from Bury $ Carlson, Inc., Asphalt Pavement Contractors. <br />(Copy attached) <br />Mr. Nelson said that the subgrade and Class 5 would be put in this week, <br />weather permitting, and he would like to have the road finished this fall. <br />The ponding has been completed as required by the Engineer's recommendations. <br />Mr. Kelling moved to recommend that the Council give this proposal of Mr. <br />Nelson's favorabe consideration providing it meets with the Engineer's <br />approval. Mr. Shearan seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Harvey Cheesborough was here to request permission to put a 30' x 60' <br />steel storage building on his lot at 787 Main Street, to store and park <br />cars, snowmobiles camp trailer, bikes and other stuff that is now <br />sitting out in his yeard. The building will be 30' x 60' and the front half <br />will have a concrete floor while the back half will remain dirt. <br />Mr. Shearan moved to recommend to the Council to allow this building <br />to go up. Mr. Kelling seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Cheesbrough said the steel would be colored. <br />Mr. Merely Chollett of 510 Pine Street was next on the agenda to request <br />a variance to Ordinance No. 21 A to split his 10 acres in two sections <br />42 for the front section' and 51/2 acres for the rear section and he <br />wants to build a new home on the rear 51/2 acres. <br />If the front lot is sold it would be 10' short of the current City requirements. <br />After much discussion, Mr. Kelling moved to have Mr. Chollett consult <br />with the City Engineer and the Planner before the P&Z would take <br />any action on this request. Mr. Shearan seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mrs. Vi Schwankl was here to reqeust permission for her son and <br />daughter-in-law to park a mobile home for living quarters at the <br />rear of their home on Pine Street. Mrs. Schwankl said they have <br />been having some trouble there recently and she is afraid to be alone at <br />night. Mr. Schwankl travels a good deal of the time and is not home <br />at night. <br />After much discussion of this problem and reminding Mrs. Schwankl that <br />the City has not allowed mobile homes other than in a park, Mr. Shearan <br />moved to recommend the Council to deny this request. Mr. Kelling seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />
