MAY 21, 1975
-4-
Mrs. Schwankl asked if this would be the decision of the Council and
Mr Kelling told her that the P $ Z Boad was not the final word, that the
P & Z is only an advisory Board for the Council and they (Council) are
free to decide each case as they feel is correct. Mr. Kelling said that
Mrs. Schwankl is free to present their case to the Council at the meeting
on May 27, 1975 should she so desire.
(Mr. Nadeau arrived.)
Mrs. Linda Fegely of 866 Oak Lane was here to request a'Special Use Permit
to operate a piaster workshop in her basement on Oak Lane.
Mrs. Fegely said she would be holding classes in plasterware
two nights a week and she would also be selling the finished product.
Mr. Karth questioned her on parking facilities. Mrs. Fegely said there
is room for 5 or 6 cars at one time and she does not anticipate anymore.
Mr. Kelling moved to recommend to the Council that Mrs. Linda Fegely be
granted a Special Use Permit to operate the "Country Cellar Crafts Shop"
at 866 Oak Lane during the following hours only:'
Monday Evenings
Thursday Evenings
Saturdays
Sundays
Annual Renewal of this permit will be required.
7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
10 A.M. to 12 Noon.
No hours - casual sales only.
Mr. Shearan seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mrs. Fegely is to come
to the May 27, 1975 Council Meeting for the final decision.
Mr. Henry Amudsen, Building Inspector, was next on the agenda. Mr.
Amundsen is requesting some guidelines from the City on Steel Buildings
and Pole Buildings. Right now there are no regulations especially if a
person has 10 or less acres of land.
Mr. Amundsen is looking for specifics such as size, whether or not frost
footings are required, height restrictions, type of material used, etc.
He said he would not want some of the pole buildings that have been built
to be built in his neighborhood, but right now they could be put up with
no questions asked.
After some discussions on what would be the best way to go, Mr. Shearan
moved to recommend to the Council that the approval of 2/3 of the property
owners within 300 feet of the property line be obtained when the building
will be put on property of 10 acres or less. No approval is needed for
buildings 10 x 12 and smaller. A Building Permit would be required after
the special permit is approved.
Mr. Kelling seconded the motion. Motion carried.
