(2) Feb. 20, 1974
Mr. Herr said there was no problem, His main concern was the Board's feeling as to
the location of the street.
The general concensus of the Board was they had no objections to the placement of
the street.
Mr. Kelling suggested, that in order to protect this land and land adjacent from
becoming land locked, there should be a 33' easement for road purposes along the
West and North borders of this property.
The general feeling of the Board was that the preliminary plan presented by Mr.
Herr was a good layout and they felt that this was well planned.
Mr. Herr asked what came next? Tlhat is his next step?
Mr. Karth said he would have to submit a topography map along with the plan. Ten
cc:nies of these to be in the Clerk's office ten days before the next Planning and
Zoning Board meeting. This would mean the plans should be in the office by March
11, 1974. Mr. Herr will also appear at the February 25, 1974 Council meeting.
Mgr. Herr thanked the Board and left.
Mr. Harvey Molitor appeared before the Board requesting a Variance to Ordinance
21 A. He is buying a strip of land 18.5 feet in width which will be attached to
his present lot. There was discussion as to keeping the section line clear for
future road purposes. The remaining parcel of land is only 100' in width and can-
not be built on at the present time.
Mr. Locher is representing Mr. Molitor and said that when this land is transferred
it will be treated as one parcel with ono legal description.
The Board had no objections to this and ?:,r. Kelling moved to recommend to the
Council approval of the Variance. Seconded by Mr. Shearen. Motion carried.
Mr. Jerry Boyd appeared before the Board asking for permission to park a home he
is moving within the City limits for a indefinite period of time. This would depend
on hew soon road restrictions are posted and at what date the restrictions are
removed. He is buying property in Columbus where the house is to be placed. If
the transactions are completed, it may not be necessary to mark the house, but he
wanted to make these arrangements just in case he ran into a problem.
The Ordinance governing the moving of buildings within the City says that the
building must be inspected, he must obtain a permit to move it over the City
streets and he must have a permit to park it over 24 hours anywhere within the
City. Mr. Boyd has written permission from Mr. Ernest Apitz to park the building
on his property. This would be on Birch street just off Highway 49. The Building
would be parked 40' to 50' back from Birch Street.
Mr. Locher said the Board should make a recommendation to the Council as to their
requirements for this building to be parked within the City.
