COUNCIL MINUTES July 13,2009 <br /> APPROVED <br /> 89 Alcohol Enforcement Division requires a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License to allow the <br /> 90 consumption of alcohol in this outdoor area. The Legion has submitted an application for both a <br /> `�- 91 special event permit and temporary liquor license. The applications have been reviewed by staff, <br /> 92 including the police and fire departments and the applicant has agreed to comply with safety <br /> 93 conditions and to address any other considerations that may arise. Therefore, staff is presenting for <br /> 94 city council consideration a resolution authorizing the issuance of a special event permit and <br /> 95 temporary liquor license to American Legion Post 566. <br /> 96 <br /> 97 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 09-41 as presented. Council <br /> 98 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> 99 <br /> 100 3C. Consideration of Resolution No. 09-46, approving a special event permit for <br /> 101 Miller's on Main annual music/tent event to be held on August 21 and 22, 2009 <br /> 102 <br /> 103 City Clerk Bartell reported that Chad Wagner, owner of Miller's on Main has applied to the City <br /> 104 for permission to conduct a music event on August 21 and 22. Mr. Wagner is requesting <br /> 105 a special event permit. Staff has been working with him to ensure that the event is planned to <br /> 106 comply with appropriate regulations, including public safety requirements and a list of <br /> 107 conditions has been developed and are set forth as an attachment to the resolution before the <br /> 108 council. Mr. Wagner has obtained a lease agreement for property adjoining the site of the event <br /> 109 thus allowing him to meet the set back requirements for a tent. <br /> 110 <br /> 111 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 09-46 as presented. Council <br /> ' 12 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> 114 3D. Consideration of Resolution No. 09-44, authorizing issuance of a 1-4 day temporary <br /> 115 liquor license to American Legion Post 566 for a horseshoe tournament on July 25, <br /> 116 2009 <br /> 117 <br /> 118 City Clerk Bartell reported that American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for <br /> 119 a temporary on-sale liquor license to allow their patrons to consume on their property but outside <br /> 120 their building as part of a horseshoe tournament scheduled for July 25, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. <br /> 121 Their application has been reviewed by staff and the applicant has responded to the city's <br /> 122 requirements. A resolution authorizing the issuance of a one-day temporary license <br /> 123 is before the council for consideration <br /> 124 <br /> 125 Council Member Gallup moved to approve Resolution No. 09-44 as presented. Council Member <br /> 126 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> 127 <br /> 128 3E. Consideration of an Agreement with the Centennial School District for a Two-Year <br /> 129 Extension for the Operation of the Early Childhood Center <br /> 130 <br /> 131 Administrator Tesch reported that the ten-year lease between Centennial School District and the <br /> 132 city for space for their early childhood center is expiring. Staff has negotiated a two-year <br /> 133 extension to the lease, including an amendment to include HVAC costs. Staff recommends <br /> 3 <br />
