CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 17-125 RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR ANOKA COUNTY’S RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES PARK RESERVE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest for the County of Anoka to provide open space recreational facilities within the County; and WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has worked with the cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes and other regulating agencies in a cooperative effort to develop the park reserve in the cities; and, WHEREAS, the County of Anoka and the Metropolitan Council have designated the park as a park reserve; and, WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has developed a park development program for the park reserve, which includes incorporating the Wargo Nature Center’s master plan into plans for the park reserve and includes several other projects and, WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council requires an amendment to the Master Plan for the park reserve be approved by the Metropolitan Council; and, WHEREAS, City of Lino Lakes representatives have reviewed and commented on the plan. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that the City Council hereby offers support to Anoka County for the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve Master Plan Amendment and its effort to redevelop the park. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of November, 2017.
