Council Member Maher seconded the <br />124 motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />133 <br />134 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />135 4A) Consider request for approval to enter into a JPA for the investigation of financial <br />136 crimes — Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed his written report requesting authorization to <br />137 participate in this task force that is overseen by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. He <br />138 noted that Lino Lakes Police have been involved in numerous complex investigations of financial <br />139 crimes. By becoming a member of the group, the City will receive the financial backing of the group <br />140 for overtime and with no staffing changes to the City. <br />141 Mayor Reinert remarked that this represents an efficiency in government whereby the BCA can <br />142 engage local law enforcement through reimbursement. <br />Al <br />Council Member Maher moved to authorize execution of the JPA as recommended. Council <br />144 Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />145 413) Consider Lease Agreement with North Memorial Ambulance Service —Public Safety <br />146 Director Swenson explained that staff is requesting authorization to renew this lease agreement <br />147 providing ambulance services to the City; services alternate from between the two fire stations. <br />148 Council Member Maher moved to authorize participation in the lease agreement as recommended. <br />149 Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion.
