constructed on a prepared base in accordance with the detailed specifications and in <br />conformity with the lines and typical cross -sections on the detailed plans for each <br />particular project. Mixing of the hot -mix used in the construction of bituminous curb <br />shall be done in an approved pug -mill mixer of not less than three (3) cubic yards ca- <br />pacity. Unless otherwise specified in the detailed specifications, the aggregate shall <br />conform to the requirements of Minnesota Highway Dept. specifications Section 3139. <br />Type AB-2. The asphalt shall be Type Ac-1 (85-100) penetration unless otherwise desig- <br />nated_ The amount of asphalt used shall be from 6 to 8z per cent by weight of the total <br />mix. <br />SECTION 21. STORM SEWERS <br />Where considered necessary to insure adequate drainage of any street hereafter construc- <br />ted in the Village, the Village Engineer shall design adequate storm sewers, together <br />with necessary catch basins, manholes and other appurtenances. Detailed plans and speci- <br />fications for this work shall be included with those designed for each particular pro- <br />ject. <br />SECTION 22. BOULEVARD SOD <br />The boulevard on each side of the street, that fs, the area between the curb and the pro- <br />perty line, shall be uniformly finished to fit the top of the curb. This area shall be <br />completely covered with sod in accordance with the detailed plans and specifications de- <br />signed for the project. <br />SECTION 23. TREES <br />Street trees having a truck diameter (measured 12 inches above the ground) of not less <br />than two and one-half inches shall be planted along all streets, where trees do not exist. <br />These trees shall be placed on the boulevard in a straight line parallel with and eight <br />(8) feet from the property line. This requirement will be satisfied and it is preferable <br />if an equivalent number of trees of the same size are planted in a naturalistic way in <br />the front yards of the adjoining lots. <br />SECTION 24. DRAINAGE <br />All drainage shall be accomplished in connection with the grading operations of the street. <br />Wherever it is possible to do so, the water shall be carried in storm sewers under the <br />ground, proper catch basins and manholes shall be constructed to adequately collect all <br />surface water in the area. Wherever any Village storm sewer is located, it will be nec- <br />essary that the owner shall connect to that storm sewer with the sewer which is to carry <br />water out of his particular street. In cases where larger pipes than that which is re- <br />quired to carry the water from any particular street is advisable, the Village may elect <br />to participate in the cost of such construction. <br />SECTION 25. WATER SUPPLY <br />Wherver municipal water is available or wherever a community water system can be extended <br />the developer of any new subdivision shall be required to connect each and every house to <br />the water system. All of this work shall be done prior to the stabilization of any street <br />base. This shall also apply in cases where detailed plans and specifications for sanitary <br />sewers to serve the district in which the subdivision is located are available. <br />
