SECTION 6. The Chief of Police shall be responsible to the City <br />Council and shall make complete reports on the operation of the Lino Lakes <br />Police Department to the City Council as requested by the City Council. <br />Other members of the Lino Lakes Police Department shall be' resprxtii$te• arfd• <br />aeceu stable to the -C i3 ef'of Police, who dha11 be responsible for the proper <br />training and disciplice of such other members. The Police Chief may suspend, <br />without pay, any member of the Lino Lakes Police Department for refusal or <br />neglect to obey orders pending final action on discharge or retention of <br />such member by the City Council, by resolution. <br />SECTION-7. Said tdmbers of the Lino Lakes Police Department shall <br />receive such salaries as shall be fixed by the City Council, by resolution <br />and dates of payment therof shall also be set by the City Council. <br />SECTION 8. WORK WEEK. The regular work week shall consist of <br />forty (40) hours. Overtime to be used as -time off at the rate of 11 hours <br />for each hour worked, to be limited to accumulated time of ten (10) days to <br />be taken with approval of the City Council. <br />SECTION 9. VACATION TIME. Full time Police Officers shall be <br />entitled to five (5) days vacation after one (1) year of service; ten (10) <br />Cava after two (2) years of service. After five(5) years of service the <br />Officer shall be given one (1) additional day of vacation per year worked; <br />this to be continued through the tenth (loth) year of service. Vacations are <br />to be taken in the year following anniversary of employment and each year <br />thereafter. Vacations must be arranged for at least thirty (30) days in <br />advance and be approved by the City Council. <br />SECTION 10. SICK LEAVE. A full-time Police Officer shall be given <br />five (5) days sick leave per year, non -accumulative, to be reviewed <br />periodically. <br />SECTION 11. HOLIDAYS. A full-time Police Officer shall be paid <br />for six (6) holidays as follows: <br />1. New Year's Day -- January 1 <br />2. Memorial Day -- The last Monday in May <br />3. Independence Day -- July 4 <br />4. Labor Day -- The first Monday in September <br />5. Thanksgiving Day -- The fourth Thursday in November <br />6. Christmas Day -- December 25 <br />
