SECTION 15. RETIREMENT FUNDS. All Police Officers shall be <br />enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement Association and Social Security <br />as required by State Law. Any other benefits for retirement or pension shall <br />be determined by the Council resolution. <br />' SECTION 16. Members of the Lino Lakes Police Department, other <br />than the Police Chief, may be given a rank or designation in the order of <br />Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, Corporal. and Patrolman. The order of Command <br />shall flow from the Police Chief downward in such order as listed, each <br />member being responsible to his superior officer. Such ranks and the rules <br />of qualification for any of such positions Mall be as established by the <br />City Council. <br />SECTION 17. The Lino Lakes Police Department shall keep a daily <br />record of all such Police Department activity within the City of Lino Lakes, <br />as prescribed by the City Council, which record shall be open to the members <br />of the City Council, City Clerk, and City Attorney, only. <br />SECTION 18. A badge, complete uniform and such other insignia or <br />evidence of identification and equipment, including firearms, as the Police <br />Chief may prescribe and authorize, shall be issued to the members of the <br />Lino Lakes Police Department, with approval of the City Council and at the <br />e,:pense of the City of Lino Lakes. All such City property issued to any <br />sach member shall be returned, in good condition, to the City, forthwith, <br />upon termination of employment and each such member shall be responsible for <br />and liable for each such item and the proper care thereof while same is in his <br />possession. <br />SECTION 19. No person not a valid member of the Lino Lakes Police <br />8apartment shall: <br />1. Wear, carry or display an identification card, badge, cap, or <br />insignia or uniform of the Lino Lakes Police Department or <br />hold any item out to be such. <br />2. In any manner represent himself to be connected with the Lino <br />Lakes Police Department. <br />SECTION 20. The badge and cap assigned may be worn only while a <br />member of the Lino Lakes Police Department is on actual duty as assigned. <br />SECTION 21. Whoever in any manner violates or fails to comply with <br />any of the terms of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more <br />than $300.00 or be imprisioned for not more than 90 days, or both, together <br />with the costs of presecution in either case. <br />
