and ten (10) acres and not more than one thousand five hundred <br />(1,500) square feet in gross area on a parcel greater than ten (10) <br />acres. <br />(38) Development - The division of a parcel of land into two or more <br />parcels; the construction, reconstruction, conversion, structural <br />alteration, relocation or enlargement of any structure; any <br />mining, excavation, landfill or land disturbance, and any use or <br />extension of the use of land. <br />(39) Dormitory - A building used as group living quarters for a <br />student body or religious order as an accessory use for a college, <br />university, boarding school, orphanage, convent, monastery or <br />other similar institutional use. <br />(40) Drainage - The removal of surface water or groundwater from <br />land by drains, grading or other means which include runoff <br />controls to minimize erosion and sedimentation during and after <br />construction or development, the means for preserving the water <br />supply and the prevention or alleviation of flooding. <br />(41) Drainage System - Any natural or artificial feature or structure <br />used for the conveyance, drainage, or storage of surface and/or <br />underground water, including, but not limited to, streams, rivers, <br />creeks, ditches, channels, conduits, gulleys, ravines, washes, <br />lakes or ponds and structures such as culverts, drainage tile, <br />dams, bridges and water storage basins. <br />(42) Drainageway - Any natural or artificial watercourse, trench, <br />ditch, swale or similar depression into which surface water <br />flows. <br />(43) Drive -In Restaurant - A building or portion thereof where food <br />and/or beverages are sold in a form ready for consumption and <br />where all or a significant portion of the consumption takes place <br />or is designed to take place outside the confines of the building, <br />often in a motor vehicle on the site. <br />(44) Drive -In Use - An establishment which by design, physical <br />facilities, service, or by packaging procedures encourages or <br />permits customers to receive services, obtain goods, or be <br />entertained while remaining in their motor vehicles. <br />(45) Driveway - A private roadway providing access for vehicles to a <br />parking space, garage, dwelling or other structure. <br />(46) Dwelling - A structure or portion thereof which is used exclu- <br />sively for human habitation. <br />(47) Dwelling, Efficiency - A dwelling unit consisting of not more <br />than one habitable room together with kitchen or kitchenette <br />and sanitary facilities. <br />
