(48) Dwelling, Multiple -Family - A structure containing more than <br />two dwelling units. <br />(49) Dwelling, Non -farm - A single-family dwelling located on a farm <br />or otherwise which is not a farm dwelling. <br />(50) Dwelling, Single -Family Detached - A dwelling which is designed <br />for and occupied by not more than one family and surrounded by <br />open space or yards and which is not attached to any other <br />dwelling by any means. <br />(51) Dwelling, Townhouse - A one -family dwelling in a row of at least <br />three such units in which each unit has its own front and rear <br />access to the outside, no unit is located over another unit, and <br />each unit is separated from any other unit by one or more <br />common fire resistant walls. <br />(52) Dwelling, Two -Family - A structure containing two dwelling <br />units, each of which is totally separated from the other by an <br />unpierced wall extending from ground to roof or an unpierced <br />ceiling and floor extending from exterior wall to exterior wall, <br />except for a common stairwell exterior to both dwelling units. <br />(53) Dwelling Unit - One or more rooms, designed, occupied or <br />intended for occupancy as separate living quarters, with cooking, <br />sleeping and sanitary facilities provided within the dwelling unit <br />for the exclusive use of a single family maintaining a household. <br />(See Housing Unit.) <br />(54) Easement - A grant of one or more of the property rights by the <br />property owner to and/or for the use by the public, a corporation <br />or another person or entity. <br />(55) Existing Use - The use of a lot or structure at the time of the <br />enactment of a zoning ordinance. <br />(56) Family - An individual or two or more persons related by blood <br />or marriage or of not more than five (5) persons (excluding <br />servants) who need not be related by blood or marriage living <br />together in a dwelling unit. <br />(57) Farm - Real property used for commercial agriculture or horti- <br />culture comprising at least 40 contiguous acres and which may <br />contain other contiguous or noncontiguous acreage, all of which <br />is owned and operated by a single family, family corporation, <br />individual or corporation. <br />(58) Farm Building - Any building or accessory structure other than a <br />farm or nonfarm dwelling which is used in a farming operation, <br />including, but not limited to, a barn, granary, silo, farm imple- <br />ment storage building or milk house. <br />(59) Farm Dwelling - A single-family dwelling located on a farm <br />which is used or intended for use by the farm's owner, a relative <br />of the owner, or a person employed thereon. <br />
