Accessory building shall be considered as an integral part of the <br />principal building if it is located less than six (6) feet from the <br />principal building. <br />No accessory building in an ER, R1 or greater district shall <br />exceed the height of the principal building except subject to <br />Section 1005.04 Subd. 8. <br />Accessory buildings in the ER, R1 or greater Residential districts <br />must be set back at least five (5) feet from the side lot line and <br />five (5) feet from the rear lot line. <br />Accessory buildings shall be finished in a manner that conforms <br />with the appearance and character of the principal building. <br />Houseboats are to be considered accessory structures for purposes <br />of applying this Ordinance. Any object that floats which has <br />sleeping accommodations and facilities for preparing food shall be <br />defined as a houseboat. All houseboats which are to be docked or <br />moored within the city limits for a period of six (6) days or more <br />shall require an annual Conditional Use Permit. Said permit shall <br />show the owner, owner's address, boat license number, whether <br />the boat is to be used as a seasonal residence and, if so, for what <br />period of time during the year, type of sanitary sewage facility, <br />water supply, and plot plan showing method of access to public <br />road. Each houseboat shall have one off-street parking space <br />within four hundred (400) feet of the access to the docking of such <br />houseboat. No houseboat shall be used as a permanent residence <br />and, further, that utilities including sanitary sewer, water, elec- <br />tricity, and phone shall not be extended to the houseboat. <br />(9) Ice fishing houses stored on parcels of land during summer months <br />shall be considered an accessory storage building equivalent to a <br />storage shed 1005.04 Subd. 6.(1)(A), but cannot be stored in <br />addition to a storage or tool shed. Ice fishing houses shall meet <br />the size limitations of Section 1005.04 Subd. 5.(1)(A) and all other <br />provisions of this Ordinance. <br />(10) Accessory buildings in the "Business" and "Industry" districts shall <br />not be closer than ten (10) feet from side and rear lot lines <br />subject to provisions for abutting residential zone provided herein <br />(see Section 1005.04 Subd. 18). <br />(11) No accessory building in a commercial or industrial district shall <br />exceed the height of the principal building except by Conditional <br />Use Permit. <br />(12) A private garage in an ER, RI or greater district shall not be <br />utilized for business service or industry. Further, that not more <br />than one-half of the space may be rented for the private vehicles <br />of persons not resident on the premises. Such garage shall not be <br />used for more than one commercial vehicle. The gross weight of <br />such vehicle shall not exceed %WO pounds gross weight. <br />// <br />21 <br />
