Enivornmental Board <br />July 31, 2019 <br />Page 3 <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />There are a number of other issues that zoning officials must look for proposed Shoreland <br />construction. In particular, this lot will have limited ability to construct accessory <br />structures, decks or additions due to the required setback from the OHWL (Ordinary <br />High Water Level). <br /> <br />The plan shows silt fence around construction site area and wetland basin and shows a <br />rock entrance. <br /> <br />An erosion control plan will be needed <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson mentioned it has to meet setback requirements which is the duty of the <br />Community Development department. <br /> <br />Ms. Andrzejewski wanted to know if they would be on city water and sewer. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated that the future house and the existing house would connected to city <br />sewer and water. <br /> <br />Mr. Sullivan clarified that the management of the shoreland areas is the responsibility of <br />the city. <br /> <br />Mr. Flower asked about the future home built in a flood zone. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated that the future home site would be elevated and be out of the flood <br />plain <br /> <br />The added recommendations from the Environmental Board are: <br /> <br /> Disconnect area should include planted with native plants and alterative lawn mix <br /> No soil will be imported without approval from city engineer <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Holmes MOTION to approve the subdivision plan with the Environmental Board <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz seconded this motion. Motion passed 6-0 <br /> <br /> <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Blue Heron Days – August 16-18, 2019 <br /> <br />Mr. Kvenc introduce himself and brought up the need for 8-12 voluntueers for Blue <br />Heron Days parade with the duties of picking up trash along the parade route. <br />
