COUNCIL MINUTES <br />42 <br />"T i a 1 <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />There was no report from the Administration Department. <br />44 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />45 6A) Consider Acceptance of Donated Gift Cards — Public Safety Director Swenson remarked <br />46 that many people have been bringing in donations for the Police Department in recognition of <br />47 current conditions. There is an abundance of gift cards at this time and the department is unable to <br />48 provide them to volunteers (none working at this time). He is requesting therefore that the council <br />49 accept the gift cards on behalf of the City so they can be used within the department for <br />50 miscellaneous needs. Councilmember Lyden remarked that using them to reward wellness would <br />51 be a good use also. <br />52 Councilmember Stoesz moved to authorize the receipt and use of donated cards as recommended. <br />53 Councilmember Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />54 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />55 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />56 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br />57 6A) Consider Approval of Public Hearing and Ordinance No. OS-20, Vacating Drainage <br />58 and Utility Easement Lot 14, Block 2, NorthPointe 2nd Addition — City Engineer Hankee <br />59 reviewed her written staff report. A resident is requesting the vacation in order to allow <br />60 construction of a deck to an existing home. Staff is supportive of the vacation based on the <br />61 easement being larger than needed. <br />62 Mayor Rafferty opened the public hearing. <br />63 There being no one present wishing to speak, the public hearing was closed. <br />64 Councilmember Stoesz moved to approve the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 05-20 as presented. <br />65 Councilmember Cavegn seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />66 6B) Consider Approval of Resolution No. 20-118, Adopting Assessments, 2020 Individual <br />67 Properties —City Engineer Hankee explained that adoption. of individual assessment is requested. <br />68 These assessment that have been requested by property owners. She reviewed the list of requests. <br />69 Councilmember Cavegn asked for confirmation that wells can still remain in place but without a <br />70 connection to the home (for non -potable water use only). <br />71 Councilmember Ruhland moved to approve Resolution No. 20-118 as presented. Councilmember <br />72 Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />73 6C) Consider Approval of Resolution No. 20419, Adopting Assessments, Nadeau Acres, <br />74 City Engineer Hankee explained that the adoption of assessments related to the Nadeau Acres <br />75 development is requested. Assessment of these costs was included in the development agreement <br />76 as consent. <br />
