City of Lino Lakes - ZONING ORDINANCE <br />• corridors; (9) estuaries; (10) mature strands of native vegetation; (11) aquifer <br />recharge and discharge areas. <br />Day Care Facility. Any facility licensed by the State Department of Public <br />Welfare, public or private, which for gain or otherwise regularly provides one or <br />more persons with care, training, supervision, habilitation, rehabilitation or <br />developmental guidance on a regular basis, for periods of less than twenty-four <br />(24) hours per day, in a place other than the person's own home. Day care <br />facilities include, but are not limited to, family day care homes, group family day <br />care homes, day care centers, day nurseries, nursery schools, daytime activity <br />centers, day treatment programs and day services, as defined by Minnesota <br />State Statutes, Section 245.782.5. <br />Density. The number of families, individuals, dwelling units, or housing <br />structures per unit of land. In this Ordinance, it shall mean number of dwelling <br />units per acre of buildable land. <br />Detached Garage. A one-story accessory building used or intended for the <br />storage of motor driven passenger vehicles. <br />Detached Outdoor Living Area. A flat surfaced seasonal outdoor room <br />• intended for casual human use which may be screened but may not have <br />permanent structural walls or be covered by a permanent roof. <br />Development. The division of a parcel of land into two or more parcels; the <br />construction, reconstruction, conversion, structural alteration, relocation or <br />enlargement of any structure; any mining, excavation, landfill or land <br />disturbance, and any use or extension of the use of land. <br />District. A section or sections of the City for which the regulations and <br />provisions governing the use of buildings and lands are uniform for each class of <br />use permitted therein. <br />Dock (Boat Launch). A structure accessory to the principal use of the property <br />which extends into navigable waters and used for the launching, landing or <br />mooring of watercraft. <br />Domesticated Farm Animal Building. A one-story accessory building used or <br />intended for the shelter of domestic farm animals and/or related feed or other <br />farm animal supportive materials. Said building shall require a Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency Feedlot Permit. <br />• Dormitory. A building used as group living quarters for a student body or <br />religious order as an accessory use for a college, university, boarding school, <br />orphanage, convent, monastery or other similar institutional use. <br />1- 14 <br />
