Question 7 <br /> Will the sports complex be used by Lino Lakes residents only or <br /> will this be a commercial enterprise? <br /> As stated in our Comprehensive Plan Mission Statement: " The <br /> Purpose of the Lino Lakes Park System is to Provide a <br /> comprehensive, balanced, and high quality system of parks, <br /> natural/open spaces, trails and leisure-oriented <br /> activities/programs for city residents to use and enjoy in as <br /> cost effective manner as possible." The recreation complex will <br /> be a city operated facility. <br /> Question 8 <br /> Will alcohol be permitted on the sports complex? <br /> City Ordinance No. 301.05 prohibits the possession, display, <br /> consumption, or use of alcoholic beverages on any public park or <br /> grounds. This ordinance would apply to the proposed recreation <br /> complex. <br /> Question 9 <br /> n If alcohol is permitted how will the Lino Lakes police this <br /> situation? <br /> Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on this or any park <br /> site. <br /> Question to <br /> If alcohol is not permitted, how will these rules be enforced? <br /> Park areas are routinely patrolled with the rest of the city <br /> patrolling needs. In addition, the Lino Lakes Police Department <br /> has recently trained several reserve officers that will be <br /> patrolling park and trail areas. <br /> Question 11 <br /> Will the city hire extra police or hire private off duty police? <br /> The city has recently trained several new reserve officers as <br /> alluded to in question 10. At this time there are no plans to <br /> hire any additional police staff specifically for the proposed <br /> recreation site. <br />
