Marty responded approximately <br /> $12, 000. <br /> Amy said she knows it is frustrating for them, she is happy to <br /> see them take such an interest in their neighborhood, and <br /> appreciated them coming before the park board with their issue. <br /> She also stated, in the future, maybe the developers should be <br /> made more responsible for developing the park areas. <br /> Brian thank them for coming to the park meeting and told them <br /> they did an excellent job. He asked if anyone was going to <br /> attend the neighborhood meeting September 9th. Marty and George <br /> will attend the meeting. <br /> UPDATES CONTINUED <br /> D. Recreation Focus Committee: <br /> Brian Bourassa gave an overview of what has transpired at the <br /> last two Recreation Focus Committee meetings. He said there was <br /> a need to have a neighborhood meeting in the Wenzel Farm area. <br /> He further added that the committee felt it was necessary to have <br /> a survey done. Marty added that Ray Weber is willing to work on <br /> the survey. Various Park Board members gave their views on a <br /> survey. They felt residents throughout the city should be <br /> ^ included in the survey so they had the true feelings of the <br /> residents. There was also discussion on the possibility of the <br /> City Council doing a survey. Marty would like the Recreation <br /> Focus Committee and the Park Board to be included in the process <br /> if the city decides to do a survey. <br /> He then reported that there was a young man, Rob Schleicher, on <br /> the Recreation Focus Committee and Teen Subcommittee that was a <br /> real go-getter. Marty discussed what has transpired on the Teen <br /> Committee. They would like to have a dance but we really do not <br /> have the proper facility to have one. He also stated that when <br /> the time comes to do something like this it must be successful <br /> the first time around because there won't be a second chance with <br /> the teens. Pam Taschuk stated that the school year might not be <br /> the proper time to have a dance. Maybe we should focus on a <br /> summer event. She also stated that the Brandywood child <br /> population was a good example of what could lay ahead for the <br /> City of Lino Lakes in regards to the teen population. Marty said <br /> that he had put in the budget, money to hire a parttime community <br /> outreach person. He thought it was important that the teens had <br /> someone to identify with. Amy suggested that if we were looking <br /> for a project for the teens maybe they could debrush Baldwin Lake <br /> Road. <br /> In conclusion, Brian stated if any members had anything they <br /> n would like brought to the Recreation Focus Committee they should <br /> 4 <br />
