PARK BOARD MINUTES
JANUARY 4, 1989
requirements in residential areas.
Bob Williams seconded the motion, and the motion was approved
unanimously.
WILDWOOD ESTATES/ELMER CROHN
Elmer Crohn owns approximately 120 acres of land north of
Main Street and immediately west of the Lino Lakes Elementary
School . He wishes to subdivide the land into either 2 1/2
acre lots or into sewer-available city size lots. The
applicant has discussed the subdivision with boardmembers on
several previous occasions and concept approval has been
given. At this time he is requesting park board approval for
his proposed trail systems and park.
Crohn will dedicate approximately six acres of land to the
city for park purposes. In addition, he is dedicating a
small area for trail development and giving easements for a
considerable trail system.
Crohn wishes to start development in phases starting at Main
Street and proceeding to the north.
MOTION: George Lindy recommends to City Council to accept
the park dedication as platted for Wildwood Addition,
Application 88-29, to include the trail easement, approval of
park land as shown on proposed plat.
If the costs of the trail development along with park land
dedicated is not equal to required park dedication amount,
then the balance would be required as a cash dedication.
Ken Johnson seconded the motion, motion was approved
unanimously.
WOODRIDGE ESTATES UPDATE/DON VOLK
Don Volk met with Rick Carlson and designed a trail system
for Woodridge Estates. This is changed from the original
proposed plat . The access road to the north - northeast was
moved further west . Due to the repositioning of the road,
the trail systems were also moved. The remaining trails
would tie into a park system.
Don stated there will be no curb between the road and
trail surface. Streets will be painted and signed to
eliminate any parking on the trail .
MOTION: Ray Johnson moved to recommend to City Council
acceptance of Wood Ridge Estates Park Dedication once actual
costs for grading and completion of 2 trails along with tree
removal . Cost for this is not to exceed $2, 725. 00. All park
dedication fees are to be paid at the time of final plat
3
