A balance between industry and residential development. <br /> Better assessing of property valuation. <br /> 1 acre subdivision instead of 10 acre horse farms. <br /> Sidewalks especially around school and parks, safe crosswalks, slower speed <br /> limit on Lake Drive. A clearer separation between business and residential <br /> property--it seems all mixed up now. <br /> Tornado sirens. A mayor that represents more than 1 area. <br /> Family restaurant and miniature golf or one activity for everyone. <br /> Less red tape. <br /> Cooperation of citizens and officials. <br /> Better care of parks! Especially one on Lenard Ave. No trash barrels or picnic <br /> tables. <br /> A new attitude. You're not Bloomington, you are only a small town of 6,000 <br /> people so act like it; i.e., big government, big taxes, small town. <br /> The many, many acres of parks are hardly used anyway!! Figure out how much <br /> park land is avail. per capita -- what a joke! Probably 1/4 acre/person. <br /> Sewer and water within 5 yrs. <br /> Programs and facilities for the young. <br /> Nothing really comes to mind. I've lived here two years and really love it. <br /> Cable TV. <br /> Mall-restaurants-attract white collar people. Shed "red-neck" image. <br /> I live near Shenandoah Park and am disappointed with the poor maintenance. <br /> The grass is seldom cut. There is a lot of area and it is poorly utilized. A <br /> baseball backstop has been put in but so far the ball diamond has not been <br /> installed. <br /> Stricter enforcement of junk car and trash laws plus more recycling facilities. <br /> Better snowplowing. <br /> Improve city parks--offer youth and adult programs after school, evenings, and <br /> Saturdays. <br /> A community group or activity to meet your area residents--to create a friendly <br /> community. <br /> Traffic lights on corner of old Hwy 8 and Coutny Road 14. <br /> Better dust control on gravel roads. This includes 24th Avenue North. <br /> Its ridiculous to have streets called three or four things. <br /> A decent swimming area--to bring young children to, without duck and geese <br /> mess. A decent assessment of housing that is fair for everyone. <br /> Better road maintenance and road building program. <br /> Indoor ice arena. <br /> More industry--why was Luther's Marine forced out? <br /> Remains an area where a family can raise its children. <br /> A decent place to get a meal. The grease pit at the corner of 14 & 23 does not <br /> qualify. <br /> ,.� With good planning we could have a great clean city with plenty of room and <br /> less taxes. <br /> Enforce zoning and land usage--be more careful. <br /> AO <br />
