This figure Paula Romocky our <br /> accountant gave the secretary. <br /> Please note that George Lindy joined the Park Board meeting <br /> already in progress at 7 : 10 p.m. <br /> PARK PLANS - RON STALLBERG AND RICH GRAY (LANDSCAPE <br /> ARCITECT) - ERICKSON' S 2ND ADDITION PARK/SOUTH RESHANAU LAKE <br /> ESTATES PARK <br /> General discussion took place on development for a master <br /> plan for Erickson ' s 2nd Addn. Park and South Reshanau Lake <br /> Estates Park. <br /> MOTION: Ken Johnson moved to table this issue until the <br /> next meeting. George Lindy seconded the motion. The motion <br /> failed with Candy, Bob, John, and Ray voting no. There was <br /> much discussion and Chairman Ray Johnson tabled this item <br /> until agenda item *6 is discussed regarding surveys from <br /> John Miller our City Planner. <br /> UPDATE - RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES REGIONAL PARK - DAVE <br /> TORKILDSON, ANOKA COUNTY PARKS DIRECTOR <br /> Dave Torkildson presented the proposed campgrounds for <br /> George Watch Lake. <br /> The grant money Anoka County has now is up to $750, 000. On <br /> Centerville Lakes the beaches are developed including picnic <br /> areas . <br /> The present plan is for camping on George Watch Lake. 54 <br /> sites are to be developed, including water, electricity, a <br /> dump station and a contact station at the entrance to the <br /> park. There will be a live-in caretaker nine months out of <br /> the year for late arrivals and emergencies. he will receive <br /> no pay and he will not have to pay rent . <br /> The park will be catered to RV' s but will also have 35 camp <br /> sites for tents (however there will only be satalites used <br /> for this type of camping, and no electricity or water <br /> available. ) There will be a building for showers and self <br /> contained toilets that will have to be pumped on an annual <br /> basis . Also, a washer and dryer will be available in this <br /> building. This building will be extended in the near future <br /> to accomodate room for a store and recreational facilities . <br /> The water table .is high in the area so they have to be <br /> careful what is planted. The county will be putting oiled <br />
