r� There was considerable discussion regarding what the terms will be if a land swap is made. What will the City get in return? Discussion took place from the area residents who came to the meeting to voice their opinions. They stated that they all wanted the park left as a greenland. They didn' t want a tot lot or anything to go into the park. They understood the park was dedicated to the community. They were very upset regarding this whole matter. CONCERNS: * Inpact on traffic situation * Would like to see an additional road coming in * Right of Way of road does not meet City Code Chairman Ray Johnson read Randy Schumacher' s letter regarding Vacation/Land swap for LaMotte Park. 1) Must notify all property owners in surrounding area of a Public Hearing to be held at Council level . 2) Counicl must approve the ordinance to vacate by 4/5 vote. His recommendation was for the City Council to proceed with the public hearing, but not take final action at this time. When the public hearing is completed, the developer would then have the option of proceeding with his plat as proposed or making adjustments. Final approval of the plat would be contingent upon the exchange of the park land with the developer. Don Volk read his report - to sum it up, he gave the Park Board Members some ideas to take into consideration on the subdivision proposal. He discussed types of facilities and activities the City would plan on. Don Volk pointed out that the developer could afford to spend or donate an additional $10,000. 00 or so. Since the City of Lino Lakes would be giving him two buildable lots, by switching parkland. Chairman Ray Johnson recommended to amend motion until developer evaluates his position. Is he going to propose a monitary plan to be spent on parks around the City of Lino Lakes? This issue should come back to the Park Board for further discussion. MOTION: Motion was made by Chairman Johnson for Mr. Roessler to change his plans and bring them back to the Park Board. Hen Johnson seconded motion.
