Chairman Johnson suggested, <br /> putting money in the 1988 Capitol Outlay for additional <br /> power poles . <br /> Mr. Nissen was concerned, because Country Lakes Park wasn' t <br /> on the CIP plan . He would also like to see Shenandoah Park <br /> completed. There was discussion on whether or not the park <br /> is completed. Mr. Volk will have to answer this . There was <br /> discussion regarding an ice rink in this Park, and where it <br /> should be placed. Ken Johnson questioned if there should be <br /> lighting, especially if the ice rink is built . There was <br /> also discussion on lighting the tennis courts . <br /> Mr. Johnson asked about a warming house for Shenandoah. Mr. <br /> Schumacher explained that the City has rented portable units <br /> in the past . Mr. Nissen was concerned about getting water <br /> to the Shenandoah rink. Chairman Johnson explained water <br /> could be hauled in. <br /> Mr. Nissen asked for input from Mr. Volk as to what he feels <br /> can be completed in Shenandoah Park. <br /> Mr. Nissen asked about dedicating $4 , 000 for an exercise <br /> fitness area possibly in South Reshanau Park. There was <br /> further discussion regarding what the developer will do in <br /> this park . <br /> Mr. Schumacher explained the amount of parkland has <br /> increased significantly. He plans to involve Mr. Volk and <br /> Mr. Miller more in the development aspect of the parks . <br /> Ken Johnson asked if Country Lakes Park funding has been <br /> completed. Mr. Schumacher explained the final request had <br /> been submitted last week . Since the City had already <br /> received funding for the bath-house, this may have to be <br /> returned. Mr. Schumacher said, he would have an accounting <br /> at the next meeting. <br /> Chairman Johnson said he was satisfied with the budget but <br /> did have a question regarding the areas in which the money <br /> was going to be spent . He did question whether there was <br /> enough money budgeted for contracted services . Chairman <br /> Johnson asked Mr. Schumacher to update the budget and bring <br /> it back to the next Park Board Meeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br />
