Archer that no action could be taken at <br /> this meeting; that City staff would need to check the old <br /> Council minutes to see what agreement, if any, was made back <br /> in 1979, and then the City Council would need to take final <br /> action with the Park Board' s recommendation. This item will <br /> appear on the November, 1986 Park Board agenda. <br /> PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE <br /> The Board discussed the current park dedication ordinance. <br /> Review of this ordinance was requested by City staff due to <br /> the fact that the language of the ordinance is cumbersome <br /> and the ordinance can be interpreted in different ways . <br /> The Board discussed the options that the City should have <br /> when requiring park dedication and put together the <br /> following first draft: <br /> -------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> * * * PROPOSAL <br /> PARK DEDICATION <br /> For the purpose of acquiring and developing park and <br /> recreational facilities , the following procedures will <br /> be used by the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> With recommendations from the Park Board, the City <br /> Council will determine the park needs and whether the <br /> option of cash or land is to be collected from the <br /> developer as satisfaction of park dedication <br /> requirements . <br /> The criterion to be used by the City in determining the <br /> park needs is as follows : <br /> 1 . Proposed development density. <br /> 2 . Proximity of development to existing parks . <br /> 3 . Open space within the development . <br /> 4.
