City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
August 5, 1996
responded yes, this would be fine, he is not real fussy. Amy
suggested High Bush Cranberry be placed on the berm.
Ron and Tracy Cole supports the berm that is there and wants what
would border their property placed strategically from them seeing
the park and the park from seeing them.
Brian Webster, 622 Fox Road agreed with Carl and Ron. He wants a
strategically placed berm, with vegetation, bordering his
property line.
Jean Deymar, 534 Linden Lane, supports berm on property line with
evergreen trees on them. She also supports a pass through out of
the play area into the open play area.
Don Boesflug, 6345 Red Hawk Trail, wanted to know the economic
impact and what is trying to be accomplished. He asked when the
plan changing is going to stop. George said the cost for the
berm, trees, and bushes will not come from the dedication park
fund.
Bruce Mayer, 6347 Red Hawk, feels the playground is very
sheltered and has a closed in feeling. He does not want to see a
berm around the whole park. He thought the berm by the
playground should be removed if a berm is going in by the houses .
Kathleen Peterson, 6315 Painted Turtle is concerned about water
drainage on her property and how a berm might affect it . Marty
said he is very cognizant about drainage
Sue Haug, 6325 Painted Turtle, said the ballfield is by her house
and is concerned about protocol being developed on the berm
issue. She wants the board to make a decision this evening and
follow it .
Amy asked about growing Woodbine on the backstops . Joe thought
there would be a problem with blocking the kids views and them
going around the sides of the fences .
Terry Peterson, 574 Lonesome Pine Trail, asked about a petition
being circulated to make a more formal ballfield rather than a
skinned field. George said the plan has been approved and the
board will be doing a survey of all residents to get an idea on
the priorities of the residents.
