City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
May 6, 1996
George Wattson from Brauer and Associates spoke about concept
plans . He talked about the picnic areas in the park and parking.
Sharon asked about handicapped parking. Marty said West Shadow
Lake Drive will be connecting this park and maybe there could be
a pull-off area for 3-4 cars . Handicap parking could be
designated there .
Pat Huelman, 570 Lonesome Pine Trail, spoke on behalf of a large
group of Park Grove residents . It even could be
combined with the nature overlook gazebo to maximize
funds and donations .
2 . Make the trail the top priority after the playground
equipment . It would be nice to do it such a way as to provide
some nature features, with occasional benches or tables .
3 . And last but not least, we look forward to working with you
and the other neighborhoods to come up with a park that is
equitable and one that we can all feel good about . We just can' t
have any more surprises . It just causes too much stress and ill
will .
Terry Peterson, 574 Lonesome Pine Trail asked why the park plans
had been moved around and why trees were planted as a buffer.
Marty said the plans had been changed at a previous meeting that
3
