City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting May 6, 1996 is what they want . Pam wanted to know if it was big enough for a 5-12 play feature if the tot lot was not what the residents wanted. George said it would hold either age play feature but it might not be as big as other parks . George Lindy wanted to know what the total budget was for this park. Marty responded $40, 000 plus ($25, 000 to $40, 000) whatever money that would be received from the sale of one/two lots . There was a question on whether Circle Pines would contribute funds for this park. George said it was not a contingency of the development of the park. Marty said they contributed to Baldwin Park and may wish to again, but, we would have to discuss that when we meet with them. Joe asked who would maintain this park. Marty said the agreement states that Lino Lakes would do the maintenance . George said he would like to meet with Circle Pines Administration or Park Board before meeting with the residents . George asked Marty to set-up an hour meeting with Circle Pines . SURVEY UPDATE• Marty said he has not received anything from Decision Resources on the April 26, 1996 meeting. Amy thought the residents should be educated somewhat on the issues that may be included in the survey. There was discussion on possibly having an article in the Quad Press stating a city survey is going to be done and you might be contacted to participate . FORESTRY UPDATE: Marty reported that staff is out planting boulevard trees . He will be starting the bid process for the contracted planting trees soon. RECREATION UPDATE: Earth Day was a big success again this year. There were over 800 volunteers helping with various projects . Pam asked where the medallion was hidden. Marty said a Lino Lakes youth found the medallion under the train at Sunrise Park. n Marty said soccer started this week and there will need to be soccerfield renovation done this fall when the program is over. 6
