City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> May 6, 1996 <br /> is what they want . Pam wanted to know if it was big enough for a <br /> 5-12 play feature if the tot lot was not what the residents <br /> wanted. George said it would hold either age play feature but it <br /> might not be as big as other parks . <br /> George Lindy wanted to know what the total budget was for this <br /> park. Marty responded $40, 000 plus ($25, 000 to $40, 000) whatever <br /> money that would be received from the sale of one/two lots . <br /> There was a question on whether Circle Pines would contribute <br /> funds for this park. George said it was not a contingency of the <br /> development of the park. Marty said they contributed to Baldwin <br /> Park and may wish to again, but, we would have to discuss that <br /> when we meet with them. <br /> Joe asked who would maintain this park. Marty said the agreement <br /> states that Lino Lakes would do the maintenance . <br /> George said he would like to meet with Circle Pines <br /> Administration or Park Board before meeting with the residents . <br /> George asked Marty to set-up an hour meeting with Circle Pines . <br /> SURVEY UPDATE• <br /> Marty said he has not received anything from Decision Resources <br /> on the April 26, 1996 meeting. Amy thought the residents should <br /> be educated somewhat on the issues that may be included in the <br /> survey. There was discussion on possibly having an article in <br /> the Quad Press stating a city survey is going to be done and you <br /> might be contacted to participate . <br /> FORESTRY UPDATE: <br /> Marty reported that staff is out planting boulevard trees . He <br /> will be starting the bid process for the contracted planting <br /> trees soon. <br /> RECREATION UPDATE: <br /> Earth Day was a big success again this year. There were over 800 <br /> volunteers helping with various projects . <br /> Pam asked where the medallion was hidden. Marty said a Lino <br /> Lakes youth found the medallion under the train at Sunrise Park. <br /> n <br /> Marty said soccer started this week and there will need to be <br /> soccerfield renovation done this fall when the program is over. <br /> 6 <br />
