CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 2, 1996 <br /> Bruce Mayer, 6351 Red Hawk, agrees this is a neighborhood park, <br /> however, disappointed when 85-890W of the residents supports the <br /> five items on the petitions and the neighborhood is not being <br /> listened to. <br /> Pam said she has weighed the issues for this park for a long <br /> time. However, she feels that she needs to think about the <br /> future residents in this area also. <br /> Passed. Leave ballfield grass . <br /> Petition #5 - Volleyball Court: Paul supports the court in <br /> appropriate spot . <br /> Pam supports the volleyball court but is concerned about the <br /> placement area. <br /> Camay Blakely, 6307 Painted Turtle Road, was opposed to suggested <br /> area. <br /> Joe supports the court also but not in the proposed area. <br /> Betty supports the volleyball court in the sw corner. <br /> George, Sharon and Amy support the court in the sw corner. <br /> Passed. Place court in southwest corner of the park. <br /> MOTION• <br /> Paul Montain made a motion to amend the Birchwood Acres <br /> Masterplan to show the changes as voted upon. Pam Taschuk <br /> seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. <br /> NORTH METRO RECREATION CONSOLIDATION UPDATE: <br /> Marty said they are starting to work on fiscal efforts . They <br /> approach funding differently than Lino Lakes does . <br /> Lexington and Circle Pines wants to teamup with Lino Lakes . Paul <br /> asked how the City of Centerville feels about this . <br /> Marty said North Metro gave Centerville a deadline date of <br /> December 12 to decide if they want to join in. He said <br /> Centerville is talking to their Park Board on December 4 and <br /> their City Council on December 11 . <br /> 8 <br />
