City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> November 4, 1996 <br /> The Park Board then went through each petition and discussed each <br /> one thoroughly. (Listen to audio tape or watch video tape for <br /> complete discussion. ) <br /> The following residents made comments as the Park Board discussed <br /> the petitions . <br /> Lyle Gave, 6381 Painted Turtle Road, wants the basketball court <br /> to be a full court . He said a 1/2 court is more appropriate for <br /> a townhouse or condo setting. <br /> Jim Holmes, 634 Fox Road, said he supports the Park Board and the <br /> master plan. He said to go slow in making changes and consider <br /> the people living on the park. He said the shelter should be put <br /> in an area where there is parking available. <br /> Pat Helman, 570 Lonesome Pine Trail, said he supports the current <br /> master plan and the process the Park Board has taken in <br /> developing this park. <br /> ^ Mike Mazanec, 652 River Birch Place, said this is designated as <br /> park property, not wetland or nature preserve, and wants things <br /> put in the park so people can use the facilities . <br /> Chris Mayer, 6351 Red Hawk Trail, is opposed to current master <br /> plan. Doesn' t feel there has been compromise by all residents, <br /> only the people on the park. <br /> Theresa Flynn, 654 Ironwood Circle, worked on the petitions and <br /> she hopes everyone' s opinions are considered not only the people <br /> that have been coming to the meetings . <br /> Bruce Mayer asked if there is going to be a joint City <br /> Council/Park Board meeting to please make sure enough people are <br /> notified that there is going to be a meeting. Please call him <br /> and he will contact people. He wants Jim Dame contacted also <br /> Marty said as of right now there is not going to be a joint <br /> meeting. The council has put it in the Park Boards hands to make <br /> a decision on this . <br /> MOTION: Paul Montain made a motion to vote on each petition to <br /> narrow the issues down. Sharon Lane seconded the motion and it <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> 4 <br />
