Memorandum
DATE: November 19, 1996
TO: Marty Asleson
FROM: Mary Kay Wyland W"(-
RE: Marshan Lake Park Trail-Comp Plan
CC: B. Wessel
Following a recent Comprehensive Plan meeting, staff received correspondence from two residents
concerning the proposed trail around Marshan Lake, particularly where it crosses their properties. I have
attached copies of these letters for your information along with a copy of the proposed Land Use Map
showing the proposed trail location and possible relocation.
It has been suggested that the Park Board address these concerns and respond to the residents. It was also
suggested that perhaps the trail could be realigned toward Lake Drive in this location. Again, this is a Park
Board issue and is therefore being directed to you.
We hope to complete the land use planning for Districts 1 and 2 by mid-January and would hope this could
be on the December Park Board Agenda.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Enc:
