COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 27, 1997 <br /> n <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> MINUTES <br /> DATE : October 27, 1997 <br /> TIME STARTED : 6:32 P.M. <br /> TIME ENDED : 9:01 P.M. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Bergeson,Kuether,Landers,Neal and Lyden <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br /> Staff members present: City Administrator, Randy Schumacher; City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; <br /> Community Development Director, Brian Wessel; City Engineer, David Ahrens; Planning <br /> Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland; Building Inspector,Tom Jackson; Planning Consultant,Alan <br /> Brixius; and Clerk-Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson. <br /> SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> Mr. Schumacher requested removal of Item 9, "Consideration of Resolution No. 97 - 153, <br /> Insurance Benefits for Council Members". <br /> The agenda was approved as amended. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Council Member Neal <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ITEM ACTION <br /> DISBURSEMENTS: <br /> October 27, 1997 <br /> (Check Nos. 49049 -49164, $680,936.67) Approved <br /> Consideration of Friends of the Parks Transfer <br /> & Indemnification Agreement Approved <br /> OPEN MIKE <br /> Kay Phillips of Birch Street addressed the Council regarding a car she observed illegally passing <br /> a school bus her children were getting ready to board. She indicated that she has experienced <br /> other traffic related problems on her street, and that the speed limit should be reduced. Ms. <br /> Phillips stated that she feels very strongly about this issue, and asked about the intentions of <br /> candidates running for Council with respect to this issue. <br /> n Mr. Schumacher suggested that Ms. Phillips put her concerns into writing and submit them to <br /> Staff for response. <br />
