City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
^ December 1, 1997
said he and Marty had kept checking the ice and there was about 6
inches of slush on top of the ice. He said this area is very
scenic and a nice place to have a rink in past years . Joe said
once this park is more user friendly maybe a rink could be put in
another area. George said he pumps from the lake to flood his
rinks and thought the city could do the same.
Rick said Quail Ridge is scheduled to be master planned and hopes
to start the process in January.
George said once the appointments to the Park Board are completed
the board will have to revisit park liaisons . Rick said he would
be sure to contact the liaisons when having meetings pertaining
to their parks and will let the whole board know when there is
going to be a park master planning meeting.
George said he researched and found the master plan for County
Lakes Park had been completed in 1994 . Rick said Barry thought
it had been done and searched until he found the plan.
TERM EXPIRATIONS•
Betty Piper and Sharon Lane: Rick gave a memo to Betty and
Sharon stating they should send a letter of intent to Dan Tesch.
Both members said they have sent their letters to Dan.
TERM VACANCY•
Kim Sullivan: Rick explained that Kim Sullivan would be
resigning from the Park Board because she was elected mayor.
Sharon asked that Rick contact the people that are interested in
being on the board to let them know there will be a vacancy.
Rick said if the Park Board members would get him the information
he would pass it along to Dan Tesch.
OLD BUSINESS•
Rick thanked the members for the information they had given him
at the November Park Board meeting.
George thought the issues list in the November meeting minutes
was going to be a good reference for future meetings . He told
Rick if he wanted to meet he or other members could give him the
history on any of those issues .
NEW BUSINESS•
3
