Mr. Ahrens referred to Exhibit A of the Resolution, which notes the amount to
be bonded and is consistent with the amount of the referendum. If the Resolution is not
adopted, the City will be required to find alternate methods to finance the project.
Staff recommended that Resolution No. 98 - 63 be adopted.
Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 98 - 63, as presented. Council
Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Resolution No. 98 - 63 can be found at the end of these minutes.
POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT, CHIEF PECCHIA
Consideration of Accepting the Resignation of CSO,Jeanie Kenow - Chief Pecchia
informed the Council that CSO Jeanie Kenow has submitted her letter of resignation as a
member of the Police Department effective April 24, 1998. He also stated that Staff
wishes Ms. Kenow the best of luck with her future endeavors.
Staff recommends Council accept Ms. Kenow's letter of resignation.
Acting Mayor Lyden stated that he was very sorry to see Ms. Kenow leave the City. He
wished her and her family well.
Council Member Neal moved to accept the resignation of CSO, Jeanie Kenow. Council
Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Program in local elementary schools. The goal
of the Lino Lakes Police Department is to ensure that the D.A.R.E Program will become
totally funded through donations from the community.
Minnesota's D.A.R.E. Inc., is aware of this goal and has donated $2,000.00 toward the
cost of administering the program in the local elementary schools in 1998.
