COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 12, 1999 <br /> 1. A schedule for the completion of plats, by-laws,phasing, development agreement, and <br /> site visits. <br /> 2. The City Attorney will review the specific recommendations to ensure the legality. <br /> 3. Regular Council updates and results regarding progress of each issue. <br /> 4. If the Council is not satisfied with the progress on each issue, the Council may stop <br /> the project. <br /> Mayor Sullivan expressed concern regarding a clear picture of the goals. <br /> Mr. Smyser stated the above issues are typically worked out in the development agreement. <br /> Mr. Hawkins stated the Council has the authority to review specific issu- a mmended <br /> Council does not add a condition relating to ending the project. <br /> Council Member Bergeson stated the Council may choose not A--to the 40 acres <br /> until the final plat. The City could also choose to apply Sg o �tiac of property by <br /> either taking the MUSA out of reserve or trading it with a pzp the°is in the MUSA. Delineation of open space to be <br /> taken over by the City could be done but may not be an advantage to the City. <br /> Council Member Lyden stated he is in favor of the City owning the property. There will be fine <br /> homes in the development that will pay taxes. He stated he believes the taxes will pay for the <br /> maintenance of the open space. <br /> Mayor Sullivan called for a short recess at 8:10 p.m. <br /> 7 <br />
