City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> June 7, 1999 <br /> connection to the Regional Parks Trail system has not <br /> yet been received. <br /> 3 . Wenzel Farms Trail <br /> $15, 000 has been designated for the design and <br /> construction of the pedestrian bridge. Estimated <br /> construction costs for the trail are $23 , 000 . <br /> 4 . Behm' s Century Farm Park 5th Addition Trail Connection <br /> Chair Lindy stated that trails that have already been graded <br /> should receive first priority. He suggested the City back off on <br /> repairs and complete the trails that have been graded. <br /> Rick stated the trails that need to be repaired are a safety <br /> issue . The City needs to begin some trail restoration. The <br /> Lilac Street trail is the only trail with base on it that needs <br /> to be completed. <br /> Paul asked when the Mallard Lane trail will be ready to access . <br /> He also asked how many other accesses to the County Park will be <br /> developed. Rick advised the County plans to construct trail <br /> segments this fall . There will be approximately five trail <br /> segments allowing access to the County Park. The highest <br /> priority is Mallard Lane. <br /> Chair Lindy suggested Birch Park be put on the back burner. <br /> Pat stated there is no urgency with Mallard Lane and Behm' s 5th <br /> Addition. <br /> Chair Lindy added Mallard Lane should be a priority for the year <br /> 2000 . <br /> Rick stated decisions regarding trail paving projects should be <br /> made at the next Park Board meeting. He noted he will provide <br /> detailed costs of each trail project . <br /> 1998 EXCESS REVENUE: <br /> Rick advised the City Council has recently designated the 1998 <br /> Excess Fund Balance as related to the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department : <br /> 1 . Bleacher Replacement $25, 000 <br /> 2 . Mallard Lane Trail Connection $28, 000 <br /> 6 <br />
