City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
April 5, 1999
Rick stated the Behm' s Century Farm Development has been
anxiously awaiting the development of this park. He advised that
initially he was not in support of reducing the 8 . 6 acre park.
However, with no significant park dedication contributions on the
horizon, this is an opportunity to generate revenue to develop
Behm' s Century Farm Park this year.
Rick stated he will recommend scheduling a public meeting to
allow area residents to review the proposal and provide comment
if the Park Board decides to pursue this proposal .
Mr. Gary Uhde, Developer for Century Farms, introduced himself
and Mr. John Johnson, Engineer for Century Farms, to the Park
Board.
Mr. Johnson stated he is present to revisit the issue of
developing the park as soon as possible . He stated they are
trying to obtain the 7 lots on Mustang Lane and 4 lots along
Palomino Lane . The proposal also preserves the existing park
facility. He
suggested the possibility of getting 5 lots along Palomino Lane
and leaving Mustang Lane open.
Jeff indicated the $5, 000 figure for lots along Palomino Lane may
not be enough. He suggested the City negotiate that figure .
Pam questioned the kind of precedence the City will be setting if
they do sell park land to a developer.
Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pam Taschuk, to have Mr.
Uhde' s staff work with City staff to develop a plan that includes
2
