City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> April 5, 1999 <br /> Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pat Huelman, to approve <br /> the trail plan as outlined and that temporary access be provided <br /> at the north end of Lot #10 . The motion passed. <br /> REVIEW BLOCK PARTY WAGON POLICIES AND APPLICATION FORM: <br /> Rick stated the Circle-Lex Lions Club has agreed to purchase a <br /> community party wagon and furnish a variety of equipment . This <br /> contribution amount to $10, 945 . <br /> Rick referred to a sample of the reservation application. He <br /> noted the party wagon will be available for use from June 1 <br /> through September 15 . The Parks and Recreation Department will <br /> coordinate the scheduling and delivery of this exciting new <br /> amenity. <br /> Residences and businesses located within the City of Lino Lakes, <br /> City of Circle Pines, and City of Lexington, and the portion of <br /> Blaine located east of 35W are eligible to use the party wagon. <br /> Rick advised that the party wagon will contain sports equipment, <br /> chairs and tables, coolers, etc . <br /> RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br /> Rick referred to the Program Highlights Flyer from March, 1999 . <br /> He stated that if any of the Board members have any questions to <br /> call him at the Parks Department . <br /> Rick noted that registration for the Options program is underway. <br /> The Parks Department has had a lot of positive response to this <br /> new summer program offering and spaces are quickly being filled. <br /> At this time, 29 participants have registered. <br /> PARKS DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br /> Rick reviewed a memo from Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor, which <br /> summarizes the maintenance highlights for March, 1999 . <br /> Rick noted the unsafe bleachers throughout the City have been <br /> removed. Until a source of funding is found to purchase new <br /> bleachers, spectators will be asked to bring a lawn chair. <br /> Rick advised that the old backstop and out of play fence posts <br /> have been removed at City Hall east . Also, the old players <br /> benches have been removed. The infield will be expanded. <br /> Rick stated the Parks Department is in the process of developing <br /> a new trail head sign design. The new design should be completed <br /> by the May, 1999, Park Board meeting. <br /> 4 <br />
