City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting April 5, 1999 Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pat Huelman, to approve the trail plan as outlined and that temporary access be provided at the north end of Lot #10 . The motion passed. REVIEW BLOCK PARTY WAGON POLICIES AND APPLICATION FORM: Rick stated the Circle-Lex Lions Club has agreed to purchase a community party wagon and furnish a variety of equipment . This contribution amount to $10, 945 . Rick referred to a sample of the reservation application. He noted the party wagon will be available for use from June 1 through September 15 . The Parks and Recreation Department will coordinate the scheduling and delivery of this exciting new amenity. Residences and businesses located within the City of Lino Lakes, City of Circle Pines, and City of Lexington, and the portion of Blaine located east of 35W are eligible to use the party wagon. Rick advised that the party wagon will contain sports equipment, chairs and tables, coolers, etc . RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: Rick referred to the Program Highlights Flyer from March, 1999 . He stated that if any of the Board members have any questions to call him at the Parks Department . Rick noted that registration for the Options program is underway. The Parks Department has had a lot of positive response to this new summer program offering and spaces are quickly being filled. At this time, 29 participants have registered. PARKS DEPARTMENT UPDATE: Rick reviewed a memo from Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor, which summarizes the maintenance highlights for March, 1999 . Rick noted the unsafe bleachers throughout the City have been removed. Until a source of funding is found to purchase new bleachers, spectators will be asked to bring a lawn chair. Rick advised that the old backstop and out of play fence posts have been removed at City Hall east . Also, the old players benches have been removed. The infield will be expanded. Rick stated the Parks Department is in the process of developing a new trail head sign design. The new design should be completed by the May, 1999, Park Board meeting. 4
