This ordinance will
control what developers can do as far as removal of trees,
etc. It also deals with shade tree preservation on public
property. Bill Nissen questioned whether the chain
link fence on the property between the park and the Bait Shop
belonged to the park, as the Bait Shop is using it at
Christmas time for tree sales and it seems to be leaning.
Marty and Don both will check in to the fence issue.
Rice Lake Estates U dp ate - Marty referred the board to the
letter in their packets from Circle Pines City Administrator,
Jim Keinath regarding the use of Rice Lake Park for the
summer. He mentioned that Circle Pines has to deal with the
State in acquiring the property before Lino Lakes is able to
place equipment in the park. Marty will keep the board
posted as to the progress.
OTHER NEW BUSINESS : Bill Nissen mentioned his concern with
the number of kids crossing Birch Street going to Birch Park
and pointed out that the increase in activity here with
summer coming.
