be undertaken between all parties of the partnership <br />for the purpose of encouraging the optimal usage of <br />limited resources and minimize duplication of park <br />sites/facilities. The Parks & Recreation Board and <br />Parks & Recreation Department shall be the <br />implementing bodies and responsible for initiating <br />interaction and administering agreements between all <br />parties. All agreements, although intended to be fair <br />and equitable for all parties, shall be made in the <br />best interest of the City of Lino Lakes and approved <br />by the City Council. <br />Clearly defined joint -use agreements and policies <br />shall be formally adopted between all parties. A <br />consistent and equitable policy related to shared <br />programs and facilities shall be created. <br />Where feasible, cost effective, and appropriate, new <br />facilities (developed by any member of the <br />partnership) shall be planned in a manner which <br />takes into consideration the possibilities of including <br />recreational facilities which can serve other members <br />of the partnership in an effective and efficient <br />manner. Additionally, where feasible, cost effective, <br />and appropriate, new facilities shall be located on <br />property which is adjacent to property owned by <br />other members of the partnership and can be tied <br />together through shared facility use and <br />programming. <br />• School staff shall be encouraged to serve as part of <br />the community program system by informing students <br />of activities, schedules and assisting in program <br />leadership. The City, in return, shall provide the local <br />school districts with the information necessary to <br />accomplish this task. <br />• On -going information sharing, communication, and <br />interaction between all parties belonging to the <br />partnership shall be undertaken to promote the <br />integration of each parties systems and programs. <br />The City shall appoint a staff person to be <br />responsible for coordinating facility use and program <br />development. Each member of the partnership shall <br />be encouraged to do the same. <br />Parks & Recreation Department <br />Staff Requirements <br />Goal• <br />Maintain a well -trained, highly motivated staff to carry <br />out the City of Lino Lakes's mission of developing a <br />quality park system and providing a variety of <br />recreational opportunities for City residents. <br />Objectives: <br />• Maintain adequate staffing to manage and direc the <br />City of Lino Lakes 9 June 1990 <br />
