park system and programs in a professional, effective, <br />and efficient manner. <br />• Maintain adequate staffing to maintain the park <br />system to provide quality parks and recreational <br />facilities for use by the City residents. <br />Policy. <br />• Budget/funding allocations shall be at the <br />appropriate levels to provide adequate manpower to <br />maintain the integrity and quality of the park system <br />within Lino Lakes. <br />• Staffing shall be held at a level that is adequate to <br />service current management and recreational <br />programming needs and maintenance requirements <br />in a professional, effective and efficient manner. <br />• Personnel shall be planned for, hired and trained <br />prior to the date of actual need to assure that a <br />consistent level of service is maintained as additional <br />park lands are acquired, park facilities developed, <br />and programs expanded. <br />• The Parks & Recreation Board and Parks & <br />Recreation Department shall be responsible for <br />determining the staffing levels necessary to effectively <br />and efficiently service the management and <br />recreational programming needs and maintenance <br />requirements of the park system. <br />• Personnel shall be trained to handle specific staffing <br />needs to provide for viable, efficient and effective <br />operations of the Parks & Recreation Department. <br />Personnel needs and objectives shall be written <br />outlining both overall staff needs and specific job <br />requirements. <br />• On -going educational programs shall be established <br />and maintained to provide continuing educational <br />opportunities for staff. These programs shall be <br />geared to meet the changing demands that will be <br />placed on the staff as the park system continues to <br />develop. <br />Recreational Programs <br />Goal• <br />Provide the opportunity for all community residents to <br />participate in recreational activities through the <br />implementation of a well -designed, effective and <br />interesting recreational programs. <br />Objectives: <br />r..� Provide recreational programs which adequately <br />address the recreational desires of all segments of <br />the community including children, teens, adults, <br />elderly, and the handicapped. <br />1: <br />City of Lino Lakes 10 June 1990 <br />
